एवं संस्कृति मंत्रालय विशेष प्रकोष्ठ द्वारा जारी उपरोक्त पत्र के अनुसार जहां भारत के लोग नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस की 125 वी जयंती वर्ष में इस महान राष्ट्र के लिए उनके अतुल्य योगदान को याद करते हैं।
और जहां भारत सरकार ने नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस की 125 वीं जयंती वर्ष को 23 जनवरी से आरंभ करने का निर्णय लिया है। ताकि राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उनका सत्कार किया जा सके।
तदनुसार नेताजी की अदम्य भावना और राष्ट्र के लिए उनके निस्वार्थ सेवा के सम्मान में और उनको याद रखने के लिए भारत सरकार ने हर साल 23 जनवरी पर उनके जन्मदिन को पराक्रम दिवस के रूप में मनाने का फैसला किया है।
इससे देश के लोगों विशेषकर युवाओं को विपत्ति का सामना करने के लिए नेता जी के जीवन से प्रेरणा मिलेगी और उन में देशभक्ति और साहस की भावना समाहित होगी।
