दिवस/सप्ताह मनाए जाने के संबंध में अपर मुख्य सचिव रेणुका कुमार जी ने समस्त जिला बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारियों को उपरोक्त पत्र जारी किया जिसमें,
उल्लेखनीय है की दिनांक 21 फरवरी को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मातृभाषा दिवस है।
दिनांक 17 नवंबर 1999 को यूनेस्को के द्वारा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मातृभाषा दिवस मनाए जाने की घोषणा की गई। जिसकी स्वीकृति बाद में संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ द्वारा दी गई। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मातृभाषा दिवस मनाने के लिए विचार यह है कि संपूर्ण विश्व मिलकर सांस्कृतिक एवं भाषिक विविधताओं को पोषित करें। जिससे कि विश्व में बहुभाषिकता और बहु सांस्कृतिक ता संवर्धित हो।
किसी भी व्यक्ति की अभिव्यक्ति भाषा ही नहीं होती है। इसलिए सभी की मातृभाषा एक समान महत्व रखती है। इस हेतु इन भाषाओं का संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन किए जाने हेतु अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मातृभाषा दिवस के अवसर पर निम्नलिखित गतिविधियों का आयोजन विद्यालयों में सुनिश्चित कराया जाए।
School programs
1. दिनांक 21 फरवरी 2021 को मातृ भाषा में कविता पाठ।
2. 22 फरवरी 2021 को प्रार्थना सभा में संविधान की आठवीं अनुसूची में दी गई 22 भाषाओं की जानकारी दिया जाना।
3. 23 फरवरी 2021 उच्च प्राथमिक विद्यालयों मे विद्यार्थियों द्वारा 'मनुष्य के सर्वांगीण विकास केेे लिए शिक्षा आवश्यक' पर मात्र भाषा में भाषण प्रतियोगिता एवं प्रथम विजेता को पुरस्कार दिया जाना।
4. 24 फरवरी 2021 'हमारी भाषा हमारी संस्कृति' पर लेख प्रतियोगिता।
5. 25 फरवरी 2021 कम से कम 3 भाषाओं में पढ़ने एवं लिखने की प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन कराते हुए कम से कम 2 विजेताओं को पुरस्कार दिया जाना।
6. 26 फरवरी 2021 को चित्रकला प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन।
7. 27 फरवरी 2021 भाषा पर प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मातृभाषा दिवस के अवसर पर विद्यालयों में विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन कराने के साथ-साथ स्थानीय शिक्षाविद/ संभ्रांत नागरिक/ स्थानीय खिलाड़ी/ समाजसेवी को विद्यालय में आमंत्रित कर प्रथम स्थान पर विद्यार्थियों को पुरस्कृत किया जाए।
उपरोक्त अनुसार समस्त जनपदों के विद्यालयों में कार्यक्रम मनाए जाएंगे।

It is worth mentioning that on 21 February, International Mother Language Day.
On 17 November 1999, International Mother Language Day was announced by UNESCO. Which was later approved by the United Nations. To celebrate International Mother Language Day, the idea is that the whole world should nurture cultural and linguistic diversity. So that multilingualism and multi cultural culture is promoted in the world.
Language is not the expression of any person. Hence, the mother tongue of all holds equal importance. For this, on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the following activities should be organized in schools to preserve and promote these languages.
School programs
1. Poem recitation in mother tongue on 21 February 2021.
2. To give information about 22 languages given in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution on 22 February 2021 at the prayer meeting.
3. On February 23, 2021, in the upper primary schools, the students should give speech competition in the language and prize to the first winner on 'Education is essential for all round development of man'.
4. 24 February 2021 article competition on 'Our language our culture'.
5. 25 February 2021 Prizes to be given to at least 2 winners by organizing competition for reading and writing in at least 3 languages.
6. Painting competition organized on 26 February 2021.
7. 27 February 2021 language quiz competition organized.
On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, along with organizing various programs in schools, the local academician / elite citizen / local sportsman / social worker should be invited to the school and reward the students in the first place.
According to the above programs will be celebrated in schools of all the districts.
